Warriors get a B for offseason moves

ESPN’s Chad Ford graded the offseason moves for all the NBA teams and the Warriors stacked up well in the West. The team ranked fifth among the 15 teams in the West and were awarded a B. It’s little surprise that the primary justification for the high grade was the transition of ownership from Chris Cohan to Joseph Lacob. But, Ford also mentioned some of the Warriors’ young talent in the Warriors’ write-up, which is appreciated. It’s an ESPN Insider… Read More »

Reasons I’m optimistic about the Warriors

This isn’t a full-blown season preview; that won’t come until much closer to the start of the season. But, I do feel optimistic about the Warriors’ odds of improving this season, so I thought I’d share some of the reasoning. Optimistic about improvement doesn’t mean I think the Warriors will win 40+ games this season and challenge for the playoffs. This team still has a lot of question marks that need to be answered before we start thinking along those… Read More »

Thoughts on the sale, Lee, Wright and more …

I’ve been on vacation for the past week, attending a family wedding, and was unable to find any free time to put together anything of worth regarding the vast amount of Warriors news that has broken during that time frame. I have a lot to catch up on. In order of importance: THE SALE Finally, the process that began in July 2009 has become reality. He’ll have the wrist evaluated this week after which the exact nature of the injury… Read More »

There are varying viewpoints on the legitimacy of summer league. Does it matter? I’m of the opinion that it does, but you have to try and get past just the statistical reports. We all know that Anthony… Read More »

Final analysis: Udoh the right pick

Obviously, nobody really knows whether Thursday’s draft selection of Baylor power forward Ekpe Udoh is a genius or bonehead move. We can read all the scouting report and analysis that’s out there, but until we see him on the court, in the Warriors’ system, we won’t really know. That being said, I’m in the camp (it seems to be a small one) that likes this pick. If DeMarcus Cousins had dropped past the Kings at No. 5, I think it… Read More »
