Updates on Evans, Mayo and Thabeet

by warriors

Tyreke Evans had a great game tonight in the Kings’ 106-99 loss to the Lakers, with 25 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists and only one turnover. His shooting percentages weren’t great (7-19, 1-5, 10-14), but that’s kind of standard with him. Also, in the Grizzlies’ 104-97 win against the Bulls tonight, O.J. Mayo had 24 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and shot well from the field (8-12, 4-5, 4-4). And … Read More »

ROY watch: Curry right back in the race

by warriors

The other day, I wrote that Tyreke Evans had all but clinched the rookie of the year award this season. My reasoning was that Evans was still playing well and that Curry hadn’t done enough to outplay him since his outstanding stretch in February. I spoke too soon. Since that blog entry, Curry has played two of his better games of the season. Even though Evans continues to play well, Curry’s recent … Read More »

Warriors deserve credit for lowering ticket prices

by warriors

I got an e-mail this morning from the Warriors announcing that they are lowering season ticket prices for all seating categories in Oracle Arena. Season ticket holders who don’t renew by April 12 … Read More »

Where do you draw the line?

by warriors

A very belated rookie of the year watch detailing Stephen Curry’s outstanding performance Saturday against the Raptors is coming soon. Before I get to that, I wanted to put something out there for reader commentary. Setting the scene: I took a vacation day on Thursday to take my eight-year-old son to the Warriors-Blazers game at Oracle Arena. It was my son’s first time going to an NBA game and he had … Read More »

Williams gets second 10-day contract

by warriors

Reggie Williams signed a second 10-day contract with the Warriors. In six games since his call-up from the NBDL, he has averaged 12.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 23.5 minutes per game. He has been an efficient scorer as well, shooting 52.6 percent from the field, 40 percent on 3-pointers and 81.8 percent from the line. I think Williams’ play has exceeded everybody’s expectations. The second 10-day deal isn’t … Read More »
