The Warriors announced their preseason schedule today. The eight-game schedule includes three home games against the Utah Jazz, Maccabi Haifa and the Phoenix Suns.
Maccabi Haifa is a team from Haifi, Israel, that plays in the Israeli Premier League. Last season, the team had ex-NBA players Sean Williams and Qyntel Woods on the roster. In the 2010-11 season, Maccabi Haifa played the New Jersey Nets and lost 108-70.
During the 2009-10 season, Warriors center Jeremy Tyler played with the team. He skipped his senior year of high school to sign with the Israeli pro team, signing for a reported $140 million. He quit after 10 games, however, averaging 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in only 7.6 minutes per game.
