Team USA finalized its roster Tuesday and Warriors guard Stephen Curry survived the final cut. He will play for the team in the FIBA men’s championship. Team USA’s first game is Saturday against Croatia.

Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, who didn’t play during Sunday’s game, has withdrawn from the team, according to USA basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo.

“Rajon Rondo came to us and said he was going to withdraw from the team, that he had some family matters to attend to and some things to take care of before the NBA season. He did an outstanding job during our training, we appreciate the effort and commitment he made to our program and he completely has our support,” Colangelo said.

Team USA has one exhibition game remaining, against Greece on Wednesday at 9 a.m. on ESPN. The team will open the FIBA championships Saturday against Croatia at 4 p.m. The game will air live on ESPN Classic and will air tape delayed on ESPN2 at 8 p.m.
