What you need to know is that the Warriors have trimmed the list of bidders to purchase the team from 12 to four. Included in that group of four is Larry Ellison. According to Thompson, a group led by 24-Hour Fitness founder Mark Mastrov, a group that also includes Magic Johnson, is another of the finalists. The finalists will submit final, binding bids in the next month, after which a winner could be chosen. The winner would then sign the purchase agreement. If the process plays out that way, the Warriors could have a new owner by July 1. If there isn’t a resolution after the first round of final bids, there could be a second round of bidding.
