Hey everybody. My name is Jared Cowley. I’m the Assistant Sports Editor at The Press Democrat, and I’ve been a rabid NBA fan since I was really, really small. For full disclosure, I am a life-long Portland Trail Blazers fan, having grown up in Southern Oregon, with my love for the Association established under the influence of Clyde Drexler, Terry Porter and the rest of the early 1990’s Blazers.

But … this is a blog about the Warriors, not the Trail Blazers. I have enjoyed following the exciting and sometimes crazy roller coaster that is a Warriors season since I moved to the Bay Area three years ago. I will update this blog on a regular basis with Warriors news, and I will included my analysis of what’s happening with the team. I’ll also be looking to you, Warriors fans, to join me by posting your thoughts about the Warriors in the comments on this blog.

I’m really looking forward to another NBA season. I think the Warriors have a ton of talent, and if they can stay healthy and establish some positive team chemistry, I think Golden State could surprise this season in the West. Playoffs? I don’t know. The West is tough, tough, tough. But it should be an exciting season.
