There has been a lot of talk recently about the future of Monta Ellis with the Warriors organization. The talk started to heat up following the Stephen Jackson trade, especially after the San Jose Mercury News’ Tim Kawakami reported that the Warriors had been calling teams and offering star guard Ellis in trade.

At the start of the season, I really thought this Warriors team could play close to .500 for the season and contend for the final playoff spot in the West. I think it’s safe to say I was completely wrong.

The Warriors, in the first game after the Stephen Jackson trade, played well in defeat, getting to within three points late in a close game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately, too many turnovers and missed shots down the stretch doomed the Warriors, who lost 114-108, in Cleveland.

Golden State Warriors guard/forward Kelenna Azubuike will undergo surgery tomorrow (Wednesday, November 18) to repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, the team announced today. The procedure will be performed in Phoenix, AZ, by Dr. Tom Carter. Azubuike, who suffered the injury during the team’s game at Milwaukee on Saturday, November 14, underwent an MRI exam in the Bay Area …

Received the following e-mail from the Warriors:
Warriors guard C.J. Watson has tested positive for the H1N1 virus. He is currently being treated accordingly for the illness and the Warriors are following all precautionary measures as mandated by the NBA. Watson will not be with the team for either of the two remaining games on this road trip – Tuesday at Cleveland and Wednesday at Boston.

The Golden State Warriors acquired guard Raja Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for forward Stephen Jackson and guard Acie Law.

Golden State Warriors guard/forward Kelenna Azubuike, who suffered a left patellar tendon injury during last night’s game at Milwaukee, returned to the Bay Area today and met with team orthopedic physician Dr. Frank Chen at the team’s practice facility.
